Namak-je(Southern Sacred Peak Ceremony) is a rite for the guardian spirit of Namak (Jirisan Mountain) starting from the Three Kingdoms Period and wishing for peace of the country, safety of the people and a good harvest. It is a unique ritual for the Korean people, which has been handed down for more than a thousand years.
In Nogodan on Jirisan Mountain, our ancestors held rituals for heaven and mountains and prayed for the safety of the people, peace and a good harvest. Namak Temple was built on the current site in 1969. Here, in April, a ritual is held to pray for the well-being of the nation and the people and various cultural events are held under the theme of "A Journey into the History of 1,000 Years."
